News on potential comings and probable goings, including: Tyson, Best, Ward, Bell, Gudmundsson, Shroot, Buckley, Kyle, Birchall, Thornton, Konstantopoulos, Simmonds, McAllister, and Staunton. And news on Coventry City's home win against Watford. Next April.

With the transfer window set to re-open once the festivities are over, two swap deals involving Coventry City players are doing the rounds: Nottingham Forest's Nathan Tyson (Plus some money) for Leon Best, and Norwich's David Bell for Elliott Ward (Though the latter could be a rumour started by Coventry City, to get target Johann Berg Gudmundsson to make his mind up about moving to the club).

The club are also linked with Harrow Borough's Robin Shroot (Along with a dozen other sides), while Rochdale's Will Buckley is also said to be attracting attention.

Despite the best efforts of Kevin Kyle (Or 'because that's the best he could do'), Hartlepool boss Danny Wilson is fired by the club, while Chris Coleman says Chris Birchall's Coventry City career is over (Which must have come as a surprise to exactly nobody at all), though his Carlisle career hasn't started yet either, with CB having made only one substitute appearance so far.

Comments from Chris Coleman would also suggest Kevin Thornton's future probably lies elsewhere, with the Coventry boss stating: 'We will see what happens with [Kevin Thornton] but we are looking elsewhere to improve with different players.'

Swansea reveal they want to sign Dimi Konstantopoulos permanently, while Kilmarnock are keen on keeping Donovan Simmonds on loan until the end of the season.

Former Coventry City manager Gary MacAllister is fired by Leeds, despite statements earlier in the week suggesting this wouldn't happen because the poor run of form was down to the players. Steve Staunton is also free to spend more time with his family this Christmas....

And having moved the final home game of the season to the Friday before the Saturday(!), the club has now moved the fixture, versus Watford, back to the Saturday.
