As usual, we bring the usual mixture of random quotes from people involved in Tuesday's win over Stockport County. In it, Keith says he is happy with the way that City played and even Chris Turner, a man who one proclaimed City's tactics being horrible, said that we played very well.

Wahey, we won, however, let's not get too excited because Stockport, for a lack of a better word, were rubbish and it's obvious why they've only won 1 of their last 20 odd matches. However, a win is still a win and it continued our excellent run on Tuesday nights at home in the League.

Overall, I was quite pleased with Raynor's first game of the season, his kicking was a bit suspect to say the lead and, despite not having to do a lot, made everything look very comfortable and secured his first clean sheet for the Imps first team (after 2 previous attempts)

Steve Robinson also made his debut and put himself about quite well and looks to be a great addition to the squad. His passing was first class before eventually going off and looking absolutly shattered.

Saturday is a "should" win considering we've won the last 3 meetings against Bury but now that they've sacked Mr Barrow, it makes the game less predictable.

"It was a much-needed three points, we had three experienced players missing.

"We might have had another goal in the first-half but it was disallowed, on another night it might not have been. We got goals at the right time. I can't have any complaints about any of the players."

"I think the way Lincoln play they will be in the top eight at the end of the season. They just do the simple things well," a calmer Turner reflected when he eventually emerged.

"They put us under enormous pressure for the first 20 minutes, we had the next 25 minutes but didn't score any of our chances.

"Seven minutes after half-time they got a goal and kept putting us under pressure which was very difficult for us to cope with.

"We didn't look like clawing it back, we needed to win more tackles in midfield. It's no excuse we had to juggle players about and we were in the game for 45 minutes."

"We couldn't field a single central midfielder last night and that's where we lost the game. Had Easter, Boshell, Wolski, Singh and Raynes been playing our performance would have been very different."

"We hit a little bit of a bad patch and suddenly there are doubts about the managers ability. We'd be stupid to ditch the manager especially so early on in the season. If we had turned some draws into wins then we would be well away from the relegation zone at this moment in time. Things will change once we get our first choice midfield back. Never thought we'd miss Wolski so much. Briggs needs dropping for a while, club captain or not."
