Imps preparing for FA Cup draw

Lincoln City will enter this season's FA Cup in the 4th Qualifying Round. Last year's relegation means that the Imps won't automatically qualify for the cup and given the Imps' poor start to the season, an upset wouldn't be much of a surprise.

The potential for a local derby is present as, although both Lincoln United and Lincoln Moorlands Railway were eliminated early on, Gainsborough Trinity have made it through to this round. The Imps and Trinity met in pre-season, a game that Gainsborough won 2-1 against a near full strength Lincoln side.

Other local derbies that City could potentially also have are against Blue Square Premier trio Alfreton, Mansfield and Grimsby, although games against slightly further away sides in Corby Town and the Chroma Sport & Trophies United Counties League's side Kings Lynn Town.

There is certainly plenty of chance of a slip up for the Imps though because of City's slow start to the season and the large presence of sides from both the Blue Square Premier and the North/South divisions.

Elsewhere there are a few other familiar names. Nuneaton were City's opponents in the first round last term, and faced Staines and Bishop Stortford in friendlies last summer.

The draw will be made on Monday.

Totton's down on the south coast somewhere
Rushall is near Birmingham I think
Greenford is in Middlesex
Hinckley is Leicestershire area.
Hebburn is Tyne and Wear area.

Not a clue about the rest.

My plum draw went out the window this afternoon.
Grantham came back from 2 down to 2-2 only then to lose 3-2 at Solihull Moors (Sm18)

Confirmed on the official site it's regionalised.....so I'd assume it's north and south so we will probably be facing one of the below.....although one or two teams considered south might be included in our bid.

Must have moved then. Solihull is just south of Birmingham. Nuneaton is about 20 miles south of Birmingham next to Coventry.
