Lincoln City's Friday feeling will continue as the October trip to Cambridge has been brought forward to the Friday night. Due to lack of police being available for both this and Peterborough vs Leeds, our fixture has taken the brunt.
The fixture will come a week after our televised game at home to Fleetwood. It will also be the fourth time that we will be playing on a Friday evening rather than a Saturday afternoon. It also means that October sees us play four evening games in a row, with games against Alfreton, Fleetwood and Mansfield also having evening 7:45 kick offs.
City and Cambridge haven't played each other since 2004/5 when the latter were relegated. City held a good record over United, unbeaten in the six meetings during the three years we shared a division, and we didn't concede a goal at the Abbey in any of the three visits.
How come our game with Stockport had to be moved because of the police and now posh and leeds are playing it's still our game that has to be moved, why not move their game?
