Imps sign Eastbourne's Jamie Taylor

It's been seven weeks since Lincoln City were relegated and the Imps have finally announced a signing. Jamie Taylor scored fifteen goals for Eastbourne in the Blue Square Premier last season and has signed for the Imps on a two year deal.

With goal average of a goal every three and a half games for Eastbourne, Jamie Taylor had received several offers from Blue Square Premier sides following on from their relegation last season. Despite numerous offers, Taylor has chosen to ply his trade at Lincoln for the next two years, becoming the first signing of the summer.

The well travelled 28 year old has played for nine different clubs in the last ten years. His spell at AFC Wimbledon gave 10 goals in 25 games, whereas he hit the net 9 times in a 16 game spell on loan at Grays in 2008. 25 goals in 88 games for Eastbourne made him a target for numerous Blue Square Premier clubs.

nice to see him say one of the reasons he signed was because he was encouraged by the signings we are planning to make
