In an interview with this month's FourFourTwo, former Lincoln City striker Simon Yeo has revealed how he was almost killed whilst coming back from playing against Boston. It's one of two accidents the former army man admits to in the interview.

The interview focuses on how Simon Yeo, currently with Macclesfield, holds down three jobs. His two other jobs include baggage handler and driving instructor, however, it was whilst driving that Yeo admits to almost losing his life.

In the interview he says "I'm lucky to still be here! I was driving back from Boston United in my Lincoln days and was speeding a little when the weather changed. It was foggy and snowing and I went around a bend, lost control, hit a curb and flipped the car into oncoming traffic. All I remember is these pound coins hitting my face."

Yeo's luck hadn't been the best when it came to games against Boston during his time at Lincoln. He was sent off in the 2002/3 season against the Pilgrims and suffered an injury in the 2005/6 game that effectively ended his season, allowing Jamie Forrester to be bought to the club on loan as his replacement.

Elsewhere in the interview Simon admits to another accident, how he handles the three jobs and what his Macclesfield team-mates reckon about his trio of vocations.
