The relegation battle in League Two has taken a fresh twist with the news that Martin Allen has quit Barnet after just three games to take charge at Notts County. The Bees had been on good form since his return to Underhill but now the infamously passionate manager has quit one relegation battle for another.

The Bees had taken seven points from the three games Martin Allen was in charge, including a respectable 2-2 draw with runaway leaders Chesterfield. They moved level on points with Burton at the weekend and many were antipicating that they would easily move into safety, however, with Allen quitting, the relegation battle in League Two has taken a very fresh twist.

Allen quitting now means Barnet have used three different managers in one season.

He left for Notts County, a team who entered the League One relegation zone at the weekend and with an excellent record in management, especially relegation battles, Notts will now fancy their chances of avoiding the drop straight back to League Two. Almost ironically he replaces the man who replaced him at MK Dons, Paul Ince

Allen's career has so far seen him manage Barnet twice, save Brentford from certain relegation in 2003/4 before guiding them to two Playoffs, guiding MK Dons to the Playoffs before his squad got promoted the following season, albeit without him there as he had moved to Leicester, getting sacked within his first month of competitive football.

A spell at Cheltenham followed and ended in controversy before this short stint with Barnet.

Grazioli has taken over at Barnet. lets hope he has the same effect as Peter Daniel did in 1987
