Lincoln City's trip to Torquay United on Saturday will see the first return of Mustapha Carayol to Plainmoor since he left to join the Imps in the pre-season. Buckle was desperate to keep hold of Carayol and has pointed out that he knows exactly what the midfielder will bring.

Carayol put in a brilliant performance against the Imps in March last season that convinced Sutton to keep track of him. The Gambian didn't disappoint as he ended the season in brilliant form, scoring goals for fun. His contract at Plainmoor was up and he agreed to move to the Imps, much to the annoyance of Buckle and the Torquay board, especially after all concerned at Lincoln said that no compensation was due.

After a bitter few months of arguing, it was decided that the Imps owed money to Torquay and he was eventually allowed to complete his month to Sincil Bank. He did get an early chance to face his former employers as Torquay were the first visitors to Sincil Bank this season, but Carayol was kicked throughout the match and despite the Imps dominating the opening 20 minutes, it was the visitors who scored with their first attack and eventually won the match 2-0.

Speaking to Torquay's official website, Paul Buckle said "You're always going to come up against ex-Plaoyers. We had it with Nicky Wroe a few weeks ago. We know all about Muzzy and he knows all about us. At the end of the day, we know that if play at our best and go on the front foot, Lincoln will be in for a tough game."
