Former Imp and Fulham man joins Northampton

Former Imps loanee Michael Uwezu has joined relegation threatened Northampton Town. The striker was on loan at the Imps last season from Fulham but failed to make the grade at Craven Cottage.

Uwezu was signed just before the 5pm deadline but won't be eligible to play in their fixture against Torquay on Friday, for that to have happened he would have had to have been registered before midday on Thursday.

The striker spent three games at Sincil Bank last season and was fairly anonymous in those appearances, failing to hit the net in any of them.

He spent time at Dulwich Hamlets before now signing up for Northampton.
