Lincoln City striker Drewe Broughton has left Sincil Bank on loan, joining Blue Square Premier promotion chasers AFC Wimbledon. Drewe will play for the non-leaguers until the end of the season
Broughton joined the Imps initially on loan last season and despite a generally decent effort level, he has yet to see a goal in his 27 appearances for the club. His contract is up at the end of the season and with Ashley Grimes in decent form and Delroy Facey, Ben Hutchinson and Scott Spencer all ahead of him in the queue for a first team spot, Broughton has now left on loan.
“I am delighted to have signed Drewe who I’ve been aware of for some time. He offers us different options – he is a big strong lad who wins headers in and around the box, creating chances for others, and he holds the ball up very well," AFC Wimbledon manager Terry Brown told their official website. "In effect, he offers us a Plan B. I expect he will take some of the pressure off Danny who has led the line single-handedly and taken a bit of a pummelling from time to time. I am sure they will play well together. Drewe goes straight into the squad for Saturday’s game at Tamworth.”

No recall clause so that's probably the last we will see of him.
