Hutchinson returns from Harrogate

Andy Hutchinson has returned from his loan spell at Harrogate Town after failing to impress at the Yorkshire based club. He scored just once during his loan spell at the CNG Stadium.

Harrogate, managed by former Imp Simon Weaver, loaned Hutchinson from the Imps in early January. He joined numerous ex-Imps at Harrogate, including Ciaran Toner, Richard Pell, Matt Bloomer and Gary King. However, Hutchinson's poor goalscoring record continues after after just 1 goal in 21 games for the Imps, he scored just once for Harrogate, netting the second in a 3-2 victory over Stafford Rangers.

Hutchinson's contract is set to expire at the end of the season and due to his poor scoring record and that he hasn't featured for the Lincoln first time since September 5th, it looks likely that he won't be here next season.

Thing is that I've said for a long time that he's not good enough for the Football League and the fact he has a relatively anonymous spell at Harrogate two divisions below the league says it all.

He'll be like Sam Mullarkey and Ollie Ryan, doing well in the Evostik Leagues but will never be impactful in any level above that.

Tilson praised the other Hutchinson and then tried to send him back to Celtic several times. Praise from Tilson is like a vote of confidence from the board.

I'd think 99% of imps fans would want him to go back to Celtic.

Who as actually told you it was an unsuccessful loan, Tilson, Weaver or the player himself? I doubt any of the above named and its just your simple opinion

Strictly speaking it's an opinion, however, if Weaver had deemed it successful he would have tried to extend it, but there's nothing anywhere to indicate that was the case.

I do also have a few friends who watch Harrogate on a regular basis and their description of his performances sounded very familiar......"You never really noticed he was playing."
