Imps end rare away day hoodoo

Lincoln City's two recent away wins at Stockport and Cheltenham have become the first back-to-back away wins for nearly 2 years. You'd have to go back to March 2009 to find the last time the Imps won two away games in a row.

6 goals in 4 days has given City the boost that they desperately needed. City were well adrift heading into the weekend, but a 4-3 win over Stockport was followed by a 2-1 win against Cheltenham, making it the first time in nearly two years that the Imps have secured back to back wins.

The last occasion came way back in March 2009 when the Imps won 3-0 away at Dagenham and Redbridge thanks to goals from Aaron Brown, Anthony Elding and Janos Kovacs. That had come 11 days after a 1-0 win at Port Vale through a Dany N'Guessan goal.

Every away win since then has failed to be followed by another win on the road.

What a difference a week makes.

Now on a run, which should mean a massive increase in confidence. Just hope it continues on Saturday.

I have a few friends who support Vale and they say that ever since Adams was first linked with Sheffield United that they have been absolutely shocking on the pitch.

Team doing well and one of the early favourites for promotion, who then fall apart after New Year....where have I heard that before???

Good Luck, Mr Gorsky
