Djournin Sangare left his trial at Sincil Bank to sign for League Two rivals Oxford. Sangare spent just one day on trial at Lincoln and was due to play in yesterday's reserve game at Hull City.
Having played for York whilst Oxford were in the division, Sangare was well known to the U's, especially after the two sides met in last season's Blue Square Premier Playoff Final. Sangare left York in December to sign for a club in Africa, only for the transfer to fall through at the last minute after Casablanca's manager was sacked.
Tilson had hoped he would solve City's defensive problems, only for "Jimmy" to agree terms with another League Two club, revealed in the Lincolnshire Echo this morning to be Oxford.
Think he could have done a job for us. He certainly looked useful on You Tube.
I am not privvy to Lincoln City finances, but in an ideal world i would have signed Graeme Lee and Sangare. Sangare would have sat in front of the back four of Hoyte Hone Lee Clapham or Anderson.
barryimp Sangare has only signed a 6 month contract with Oxford
Plenty of time to make an impression then? No brainer really for him, unfortunately as expected Arrrxferd have come back up to FL and overtaken us, just like most teams do!
