Steve Tilson bemoaned yet another early goal after the 2-1 defeat to Bradford City. It was the third time in the short time Tilson has been in charge that the Imps have found themselves behind within the first five minutes and Tilson has said it must be stopped.

"We can't keep conceding goals and giving teams a head start and then trying to get back into the game," Tilson told BBC Radio Lincolnshire after the game. It followed the third occasion under Steve Tilson that City have found themselves behind within the first five minutes, the previous two occasions being a 2-2 draw at Wycombe and a 2-1 win at Morecambe.

Lincoln lost 2-1 at home to Bradford through goals through Hanson and Evans, both the result of poor defending and the Imps could have easily lost by more, only some decent saves from Anyon and goalline clearances kept City in the game. The Imps did create a few of their own chances towards the end, but it wasn't enough.

"In the last 20 minutes we had four or five decent chances but we shouldn't be in a position where we're trying to catch up and we should have at least got a point," Tilson continued as he continues to search for just his second home League win as City manager since taking over in mid-October. "We probably need to get two or three older heads in but it's not easy to get those players. Going forward we're not too bad but I can't believe how many free headers they had in our 18-yard box, it's not good enough."

It was the first ever victory that Peter Taylor has enjoyed over Lincoln at Sincil Bank, having failed on previous occasions with Hull City and Wycombe Wanderers. He admitted it wasn't easy though. "Victorious sounds nice, it feels better and there were some good things but some hairy things at the end. We cause ourselves problems, it's a little bit of a confidence thing."
