The improvement under Steve Tilson continued with a game where Lincoln fans saw something they haven't seen from a Lincoln side for some time, fight. The Imps came from behind twice to take a point and were one coat of paint away from taking all three.

Wycombe starting the game strongly with Gareth Ainsworth pumping the ball into the box several times and the third attempt saw Betsy connect and prod the ball beyond Anyon, only 46 seconds had past at this point. It didn't take long for the Imps to try and get back into the game as a Jarrett cross just missed the boot of new boy Howell.

City had a few corners claimed easily by Bull before Betsy hit a shot over for the hosts. City took the ball down the other end and Westwood conceded a corner, however Jarrett's delivery wasn't the best and was punched away by Bull.

It wasn't a busy game with chances seeming few and far between and the Imps equaliser came out of nowhere. Keltie played a cross-field ball to Carayol and the pacey winger ran into the box before cutting inside. He had appeared to overhit it but a desperate stretch of the leg saw him connect and shoot, with the ball sailing past Bull for the first goal the Imps have scored from open play since September 4th.

A Hoyte cross caught Broughton by surprise and his header went well wide of the target and City were the team well on top, although attacks were only producing corners and the delivery from Jarrett on them all was poor. Then, just as City appeared to be the only side looking likely to score a second, it was Wycombe who doubled their afternoon's tally as he was teed up by Strevens and produced an unstoppable effort beyond Anyon and into the top corner of the net.

Hutchinson almost secured a rare goal as he connected with Jarrett's cross, only to see his effort go just beyond the far post and then the realisation that it wouldn't have counted anyway due to an offside. That was the final incident of the first half.

The start to the second half was good for the Imps as a chance was carved out immediately, Swaibu heading Hoyte's cross over. A late tackle on Howell from Ainsworth saw the latter booked, but that was the final action that the referee would take part in as he went off injured, replaced by Mark Scholes, the fourth official.

After a lengthy delay, there was another long delay as Hutchinson ran (no, not a misprint) onto a Jarrett through ball, he went in for a challenge with bull and despite winning a corner, he injured Bull in the process. After he was back up, the Imps generally started taking control of the match with Carayol using his pace to get behind the defence, putting several crosses into the box, although none were met with a City player.

Just as it looked like it was going to be another frustrating afternoon for City, a long ball forward was flicked on by Broughton for Hutchinson, the striker ran (again, not a misprint, I assure you) onto it and hit it past Bull and against the post to make it 2-2. Hutchinson soon had to receive treatement for an injury before Jarrett was booked for a foul on Ainsworth.

It was proving a game of delays and injuries to Luke Howell, who was making a decent debut on loan from Wycombe's Buckinghamshire neighbours MK Dons, delayed proceedings. Anderson replaced Jarrett and Grimes came on for Hutchinson, who had been struggling with injury for about 5-10 minutes. Then came City's chance to win the match as Howell broke down the right and pulled it back for Broughton, the striker shot first time and it hit the bar before going out for a goal kick.

8 minutes of added on time were announced and although most of it was quiet, the 9th minute of those 8 Wycombe won a free kick on the edge of the box, fortunately it was wasted and the game ended with a 2-2 draw for the Imps.

Sounds like we have a bit of team spirit and fight, coming back twice to get a point away from home, excellent result, might not say it to loudly but sounds like we have at last got a decent manager!!!
