Two former Lincoln City players have joined Blue Square North side Solihull Moors. Ryan Amoo and Michael Blackwood have had very different careers after leaving the Imps, but will now hope that they can both return to the professional levels with a midtable Moors side.

Ryan Amoo joined the Imps in 2006 following a successful trial. He became one of the unsung heroes of the early success of the Schofield/Deehan management team, setting up numerous goals and proving very dangerous on the wing. Amoo continued to have a good opening stint to his life at City and the peak of his City career came in an away game at Peterborough.

The Imps travelled to London Road two days before Christmas 2006 to face a squad managed by Keith Alexander, as well as having Gary Simpson and Keith Oakes on their coaching staff, not to mention many ex-Imps in their line-up. Amoo gave City the lead before Peter Gain equalised. However, a half volley from Amoo in the second half secured victory.

However, as City's form slowly disappeared, Amoo found himself as one of the scapegoats by fans and despite continuing in the first team under Schofield and Deehan, it wasn't much of a surprise that Jackson dropped him and he didn't play once during his last four months at the club.

He dropped into non-League again and played for Barwell, Thurnby Rovers (twice), Stamford and Halesowen, this is also his second spell at Solihull.

Also joining Solihull Moors is Michael Blackwood. Blackwood joined the Imps in the summer of 2004 and started the season well, but an injury stopped his early progression and he was replaced in the first team by Kevin Sandwith. Soon after leaving, he went on to play for Kidderminster, Mansfield and Tamworth. He has joined them on loan from Brackley Town.

although blackwood didn't do too bad
