It ends at 9am Friday, but will it end with Tilson?

Lincoln City are set to announce the new manager of the football club at 9am on Friday, with Steve Tilson seemingly being certain to be the new man. After the fans were initially told by the club that the new manager would be announced on Wednesday, the club will deliver the news 48 hours later. Ironically, an announcement tomorrow would come three years to the day since John Schofield and John Deehan were sacked.

With names such as Steve Tilson, Steve Thompson/Mick Harford, Dave Penney and John Coleman are all believed to be amongst the seven to be interviewed by the club over the last week or so. Only Tilson and the Thompson/Harford combination were confirmed by the Echo.

The club had initially said that they wanted to announce a new manager on Firday/Saturday, but the club then changed their stance in the match against Macclesfield, with Dave Beck stating over a microphone in the Centre Spot that the manager would initially be announced on at some point on late Wednesday/early Thursday and hopefully being in charge for the game at Shrewsbury Town on Saturday, not to mention the issues between Southend United and Steve Tilson, all evidence is pointing towards Steve Tilson being announced as the new man in charge down Sincil Bank.

Of course, you can't rule anything out with Lincoln City. Chris Sutton was appointed last season after his name wasn't even mentioned by anyone, media or otherwise, until the morning that he was actually appointed.
