The YouRate results are in for the game at Notts County. It was a controversial game that saw penalties denied, a red card and numerous other talking point, but what did you Imps and a Notts County fan have to say on the match.
I'll start by saying this is a bit of cheat as the Notts County fan didn't actually do the YouRate survey, but is actually a guy who I used to work with whom I went on a night out with on Thursday. However, we'll focus on what he has to say later.
Well a lot of fans seemed reasonably happy with the performance with all but two votes falling within the 6/10 - 8/10 range. The other two votes were a 9/10 and a 2/10....obviously someone who's either hard to please or is a Notts County fan.
The fan who voted 2/10 also voted Swaibu as a 1/10 in terms of performance. Infact he really wasn't impressed with Lincoln at all as he rated every single player with the exception of Baker and Keltie as lower than 5/10. Other than that results were generally mixed for players all-around but Burch wins MOTM as 60% of you voted for his performance to be 8/10 or above.
The Notts County fan I know (although I would point out he used to be a Forest fan) believed that we weren't a bad side, but that we were exceedingly dirty and that the red card was deserved and it was a definite penalty. However, he did concede it was one of the more entertaining games of the season and that he is confident City will survive.
Although they didn't leave their names, two people left comments on the players as well;
"MOTM between Burch or Lennon considering his move to RB after the sending off"
"Good goal by Lennon. Keltie shouldn't of started."
Views were also pretty even with the penalty, with the slight majority saying that they don't believe it was a penalty. The main reason that it has been said that the referee didn't give it because Westcarr had overhit the ball into the back of Baker, with no goalscoring opportunity left.
Michael Gordon also split opinion, almost 70% think he should get the chance to start at Shrewsbury, although almost a third say he doesn't deserve that chance.
In a contradiction of sorts, Grimsby's recent revival has also put City fans in a bit of doubt, now 36.4% think that the 8 point gap isn't enough, however, no-one thought that City would be the team to join Darlington in the Blue Square Premier next season. Other than one person (who voted for Barnet), everyone still believed it would be Grimsby to go down.
Rochdale were the team that most people were impressed with, followed by Bournemouth. Notts and Morecambe both finished in joint third. Burton, Dagenham, Grimsby, Northampton, Port Vale and Rotherham United all received votes, everyone else was evidentally crap.
Again, no-one left their name with the below comments, but here are the comments that you left with regards to how you're feeling about the Imps at the moment;
"5 points needed for guaranteed safety atm, I think we'll do it but it will be nervy."
"Need another win to be safe."
"Playing well, will win 2 out of 4"
"Fairly optimistic, but still worried :)"
"We could still get relegated if Grimsby carry on getting the right results."
"Confident."
