Lincoln City had a bitter-sweet afternoon on Saturday. Despite picking up a point at top of the table Rochdale, the Imps slipped two places in the table due to an excellent day for the majority of the teams down the bottom. Herd had given City the lead before Dagnall gave Rochdale a deserved equaliser.

In an unusually fruitful day for teams at the bottom, as well as the Imps, Barnet, Torquay, Grimsby and Macclesfield all picked up points. The only teams who didn't pick up any points were Darlington, Hereford and Cheltenham, the latter of which are now in danger of being sucked into the relegation zone after Grimsby's first win since September 19th.

The Imps were also twenty minutes from picking up three much needed points, although it was little surprised that Chris Dagnall equalised from close range on 70 minutes. City haven't kept a clean sheet since November and just sat back as soon as the Imps had scored.

In all fairness, the Imps weren't having a bad game and the goal that came on the 27th minute may have been their first realistic chance, but it was an excellent team goal with nearly every outfield player touching the ball before it was played through to Herd to slot through one-on-one.

Fielding was having a nightmare in the Rochdale goal, failing to hold anything, whereas Burch was having an excellent game in the City net, catching or saving virtually anything at him. Howver, with the Imps sitting back, it was a hard task keeping Rochdale out and Dagnall's aforementioned effort saw it sneak past Burch and beyond a defender on the line.

Both sides had great chances to win the game and City did have the ball in the net again through Lennon, only to see it disallowed for offside.

City are now 21st.
