Bedford Blues 38 (Tries:  Dickson 2, Moir, Hinkins, Allen, Staten. Cons: Hepher 4.). 

London Welsh 17 (Tries: Quigley, Meenan, Cadwallader. Con: Pugh.). 

After the weekend results Bedford Blues foind themselves nine points clear of third placed Cornish Pirates and nine points behind leaders Harlequins. .   

After a close first half which saw the home side just edge it the Blues pulled away in the second half for a comfortable win. It looked after nine minutes the Welsh were in for a long afternoon with tries from scrum half Karl Dickson and right wing Craig Moir, converted by Ali Hepher, for a 14-0 lead.

In the second quarter the Welsh managed a couple of tries with second row Howard Quigley and full back Mark Meenan touching down and Dylan Pugh kcking a conversion.

The Blues took command in the opening 15 minutes of the second half with three tries to move 33-12 clear. Dickson got a second and there were tries for full back James Hinkins and centre Matt Allen. Both sides got tries in the final quarter as the home side ran out winners.

Pertemps Bees 12 (Tries: Walsh, Matthews. Con: Harvey.). 

Sedgley Park 6 (Pens: Jones 2 ). 

The Pertemps Bees, move up to 11th place, after this home win over bottom of the table Sedgley Park. .   

After a scoreless first half the Bees went in front when replacement flanker Will Matthews went in for a 52nd minute try and a 5-0 lead. Tweo minutes later and Park were on the scoreboard when Phil Jones slotted over a penalty goal. He gave the visitors the lead with 80 minutes approaching and it looked like they vcold be off the bottom of the table. The Bees had other ideas and fly half Tim Walsh went in for a 83rd minute try converted by Ben Harvey to snatch the win.

Coventry 37 (Tries: Millard, Witkowski, Tiueti, Moore. Cons: Moore 4. pens: Moore 3.). 

Doncaster 24 (Tries: Roddam 2, Wood. Cons: Liley 3. Pen: Liley.). 

Coventry move into the top half of the league table after this home win over Doncaster where they picked up all five points on offer.    

The home side were quick out of the blocks and went 7-0 up in just the second minute with centre Nik Witkowski going in for a try and the boot of James Moore adding the conversion.

The visitors were level when left wing Michael Wood went in for a try and Rob Liley converted on 13 minutes. Cov got a second try in the 16th minute when winger Dave Millard, in a rare start, went over and Moore again converted. Doncaster were back on level terms on the half hour mark with hooker Jonny Roddam going in for a try and Liley again converting. Just before the half time whistle the home side went ahead 17-14 with a Moore penalty goal.

Moore got the third try seven minutes after the break and with the conversion made it 24-14. Liley and Moore then exchanged penalty goals before the visitors got right back into the match in 68 minute. Roddam got a second try and with Liley converting they were just three points behind at 27-24.

It was not till the 78th minute that they got another score to go six points clear with Moore kicking a third penalty goal. The win and four try bonus point was nt settled till the third minute of injury time with centre David Tiueti going in for the try and Moore adding the extras.

NEC Harlequins 31 (Tries:  Duffy, Guest 2, Evans. Cons: Jarvis 4. Pen: Jarvis.). 

Nottingham 16 (Try: Arnold. Con: Stenhouse. Pens: Stenhouse 3.). 

Harlequins made it 17 out of 17 with this home success over Nottingham and only just got the four try bonus point.   

Quins were 14-0 up in the opening 11 minutes and another big home victory looked on the card after centre Gavin Duffy and flanker Tom Guest touched down and Adrian Jarvis added the extras.

Neil Stenhouse got the visitors off the mark with a penalty goal but with Guest completing a double on 23 minutes the home side were 21-3 up and cruising.

Two minutes later and Nottingham were over the home try line with second row Paul Arnold touching down and Stenhouse converting. Jarvis added a penalty but before the break Stenhouse kicked a second one for Nottingham and they went in just 24-13 down.

In the second half Stenhouse kicked a third penalty goal to reduce the deficit to eight points. It was not till the 72nd minute that Quins sealed the win and secured the bonus point when second row Jim Evans went in for a try and Jarvis converted.

Otley 51 (Tries:  Steele, Williams, Whatmuff, Wilson, Parr, Kitching 2. Cons: Binns 4, Kitching. Pens: Binns 2.). 

Newbury 14 (Tries: Bingham, Rogers. Con: Smaje, Rogers.). 

Excellent win for Otley at home to Newbury in a match  between two sides struggling to find any form of late.    

Simon Binns on his return to the side slotted over a 10th minute penalty goal to put the home side 3-0 ahead. Hooker Ben Steele went over for the games opening try and Binns converted for 10-0 after 14 minutes. Four minutes later and second row Paul Williams went in for another Otley try, Binns converted and them made it 20-0 after 25 minutes with his second penalty goal of the afternoon.

The visitors did make it onto the scoreboard with half time approaching as winger Ken Bingham went over and Dan Smaje converted.

In the second half Otley score five tries to move out of sight at 51-7 after 67 minutes. Leading the way was Robin Kitching playing at full back with a brace in six minutes.

Newbury did manage a second try when deep into injury time fly half Tom Rogers went over and added the conversion.

Plymouth Albion 15 (Tries:  Hayes, Van Eyk. Con: Saumi. Pen: Saumi.). 

Earth Titans 14 (Tries: Strettle, Bedford. Cons: WP Strauss 2.). 

Albion move back into to fourth place in the league table with this home win over Earth Titans who drop down to fifth in the table in a match which saw all the scoring take place in the first half.

The Titans found themselves 14-0 up in the opening 20 minutes with tries from wing David Stettle and scrum half Joe Bedford, both being converted by WP Strauss. Albion were of the mark four minutes later with Nat Saumi putting over a penalty goal. Just before the half hour mark No 8 Thomas Hayes went over the Titans line and with Saumi converting they were 14-10 down. They took the lead on 40 minutes when centre Regardt Van Eyk went in for a try and although Saumi missed the conversion they went in 15-14 ahead. That was the final score with the second half scoreless. 

Cornish Pirates 16 (Try: Motusaga. Con: Barlow. Pens: Barlow 2, Jarvis.). 

Exeter Chiefs 23 (Tries: Yapp, Luff. Cons: Yapp 2. Pens: Yapp 3.). 

The Chiefs get revenge for an early season hammering at the County Ground by the Pirates.     

The visitors were first on the scoreboard with Tony Yapp putting over a 2nd minute penalty goal which he added to five minutes later for 6-0. Yapp then went over for a try in the 13th minute and with the conversion they were 13-0 ahead.

He extended the lead just after the half hour mark but before home time Tom Barlow pulled three points back for the home side.

The Pirates fought back in the second half and got a good start to the second half with a try from flanker Iva Motusaga and Barlow converted before adding a soecnd penalty goal  five minutes later. Lee Jarvis came off the bench and levelled the scores with a 68th minute penalty goal.

Exeter snatch the win in the 76th minute when left wing Jason Luff went in for a try and Yapp added the extras.
