Nat 1 Preview

Looking ahead to all this weekends National League One games, Stephen McCormack gives his thoughts. McCormack has a fairly good track record with his predictions, but hopefully that will not continue this week as he predicts Pirates to beat Roth!

PREDICTIONS FROM McCORMACK

 

 

NATIONAL ONE

 

Pertemps Bees v London Welsh

Both sides need the win but recent form is the way of the Welsh we the London club overtaking the Bees in the league table. 

PREDICTION: The Welsh too sneak it and win by five points.     

Exeter Chiefs v Doncaster

The Chiefs have shown poor recent form and were beaten at London Welsh last Saturday whilst the Yorkshire side was beaten at home by Bedford Blues.

The Chiefs have a reasonable home record whilst Doncaster have yet to win away form home this season.

PREDICTION: The Chiefs with home advantage to win by seven points.     

Newbury v NEC Harlequins

Leaders Quins are looking for a 16th consecutive league win as they travel to Newbury on Saturday. Newbury have been inconsistent of late and are conceding too many points.  

PREDICTION:  Quins by 15 points.     

Nottingham v Plymouth Albion

Nottingham have a good home record but were not convincing last Saturday in defeating bottom of the table Sedgley Park. Plymouth Albion have made fourth place in the table theirs in recent weeks with some good form. . 

PREDICTION:  Albion to win by seven points.    

Otley v Coventry

Both these sides have been disappointing this season and will hope to find some form in the remainder of the season.  

PREDICTION:  Otley to win at Cross Green by eight points.     

Earth Titans v Cornish Pirates

Second placed Cornish Pirates travel to Earth Titans knowing if they slip up Bedford Blues are ready to over take them into second spot ion the league table.  

PREDICTION:  Pirates to triumph at Clifton Lane by nine points.     

Sedgley Park v Bedford Blues 

Bedford Blues will look to keep the pressure on second placed Cornish Pirates with an away win over bottom of the table Sedgley Park. The home side know a win could take them off the bottom of the table.  

PREDICTION: Blues to win by 12 points at Park Lane.
