Bedford went into second spot for 24 hours after this away win over Doncaster. 

The visitors were first on the scoreboard when scrum half Alex Page went in for a 7th minute penalty goal. The home side were level on 23 minutes when flanker Ryan Peachey went in for a try and fly half Jon Boden converted in what was the final score of the half.

Two minutes into the second half and the Blues took the lead again when fly half Ali Hepher touched down for an unconverted try. Boden kicked a penalty goal to keep the home side in touch five minutes later.

The Blues got a third try on 54 minutes from right wing Craig Moir and secured the bonus point when left wing Paul Kendall touched down and this time Hepher converted to make it 24-10. The home side got within seven in the 71st minute when the other flanker Simon Grainger went in for a try and Boden converted and a losing bonus point was secured.

London Welsh 23 (Tries: Cox (4), Holgate (17), Fitzgerald (20). Con: Meenan. Pens: Meenan (37), Cholewa (68).  

Exeter Chiefs 16 (Try: Kingdom (24). Con: Yapp. Pens: Yapp 3 (32, 44, 54). 

Much needed won for the Welsh at Old Deer Park over the Chiefs. 

Three tries in the opening 20 minutes saw then go into a 17-0 lead with back row men Paul Cox and Mitt Fitzgerald touching down along with left wing Tim Holgate who went over for his 8th try of the season, and Mark Meenan added a conversion.

The Chiefs were off the mark on 24 minutes when left wing Gary Kingdom went in for a try and Tony Yapp converted and then kicked a 32nd minute penalty to reduce the arrears to seven.

Before the break Meenan put over a penalty to goal to send the Welsh in 10 points ahead. In the second half Yapp reduced the Welsh lead with two penalty goals in the opening 14 minutes and it was a four point game. The win was sealed when Lee Cholewa slotted over a 68th minute penalty goal after coming on as a replacement.

NEC Harlequins 20 (Tries Jones (14), Amesbury 2 (44, 73), Penalty try (47), Keogh (49), Jarvis (65). Cons: Jarvis 5. Pen: Jarvis (38). 

Otley 3 (Pen: Shuttleworth (29). 

Harlequins made it 15 out of 15 with this six try display at home to Otley in front of another 8000 plus crowd. 

Prop Ceri Jones got the home side off the mark with a 14th minute try converted by Adrian Jarvis. Ian Shuttleworth pulled three points back for the visitors in what was their only score of the match.

Jarvis kicked a penalty goal to make it 10-3 at the break. In the second half it was one way traffic with right wing Charlie Amesbury bagging a brace whilst left wing Simon Keogh went over for his 9th try of the season.

Nottingham 23 (Tries Wilks (53), Kay (75). Cons: Stenhouse 2. Pens: Stenhouse 3 (31, 61, 63). 

Sedgley Park 16 (Try: Feeley (78). Con: Jones. Pens: Jones 3 (12, 27, 36). 

Nottingham took the win in this one but were given a game by bottom of the table Sedgley Park. It was the visitors who led at half time 9-3 thanks to three Phil Jones penalty goals whilst Neil Stenhouse replied with one for the home side. 

In the second half openside flanker Dave Wilks went over for the opening try of the match on 53 minutes and with Stenhouse converting they were 10-9 ahead. Stenhouse then slotted over a couple of penalty goals as they extended their lead to 16-9 after 68 minutes.

They got some breathing space when replacement wing Josh Kay went over for a 75th minute try converted by Stenhouse. Park closed the gap three minutes later with winger John Feeley going in for his 6th try of the season and Jones converted.

Plymouth Albion 34 (Tries: Arscott (23), Van Eyk (42), Fisilau (79). Cons: Saumi 2. Pens: Saumi 5 (16, 36, 51, 70, 74). 

Pertemps Bees 21 (Tries: Beim (53), Trayhern (65). Con: Walsh. Pens: Walsh 2 (6, 31), Harvey (76).  

The Bees took the lead at Brickfields with a 6th minute penalty goal from Tim Walsh. Nat Saumi levelled it 10 minutes later with his opening penalty of the match. The home side took the lead on 23 minutes when full back Luke Arscott went over for a 23rd minute try and Saumi converted Before the break Walsh and Saumi exchanged penalty goals as the home side went in at the break 13-6 ahead.   

Two minutes into the second half and the home side went further ahead with centre Regardt Van Eyk going over for a try and Saumi converted and then increased the lead with a 51st minute penalty to 23-6.

The visitors got back in it when right wing Tom Beim crossed for a 53rd minute penalty goal and Walsh converted and when flanker Cae Trayhern went over the Albion line on 65 minutes they were just five points adrift at 23-18.

Saumi put the home side back in control with two penalty goals in four minutes to make it 29-18 after 74 minutes. Replacement Ben Harvey kicked a penalty for the Bees but the win was sealed when centre Keni Fisilau went in for a 79th minute try.

Earth Titans 44 (Tries:  Cochrane (20), Fourie (28), Claassens (33), Donald 3 (37, 52, 80),  Cons: WP Strauss 4. Pens: WP Strauss 2 (1, 7).  

Coventry 29 (Tries: Stewart (11), Tiueti (47), T Johnson (61), Harvey (65). Cons: Moore 3. Pen:  Moore (10). 

The Titans continued their good recent form with this home win over Coventry out scoring the visitors six tries to four. 

WP Strauss gave the Titans a 6-0 lead with two penalties in the opening seven minutes. Coventry responded well and Full back Apoua Stewart went over for the games opening try in the 11th minute and Moore converted having kicked a penalty goal a minute earlier.

The rest of the half was dominated by the home side who went in at the break 32-10 ahead. Flanker Neil Cochrane got their first try on 20 minutes and others followed from flanker Fourie, full back Eric Claassens and No 8 Scott Donald with Strauss adding three conversions. 

Coventry won the second half 19-12 but the damage had already been done in the first half. Titans No 8 Donald went on to complete a hat trick.

Cornish Pirates 30 (Tries: Ma’asi (4), Roke 2 (10, 80), Motusaga (28), Barlow (46). Con: Barlow. Pen: Barlow (42). 

Newbury 10 (Tries: Cracknell (30), Smaje (51).  

The Cornish Pirates regained second place in National One with this home win over Newbury on Sunday afternoon.  

They were 10-0 ahead in the opening 10 minutes with tries form hooker Viliami Ma’asi and centre Duncan Roke. They went 15-0 up on 28 minutes with flanker Iva Motusaga touching down. Newbury were off the mark a couple of minutes later when flanker Chris Cracknell went over for his 8th try of the season and they went in trailing 15-5.

Tom Barlow, a replacement late in the first half for Lee Jarvis, kicked an early penalty goal to extend the home sides lead and then secured the bonus point with a 46th minute try which he also converted to make it 25-5.

Scrum half Dan Smaje got a second Newbury try on 51 minutes but that was the end of their scoring and it was not till the 80th minute that Roke completed a double to round off another home win for the Pirates,.
