Rotherham Titans continue to wait anxiously after what was described as a “very positive and constructive meeting” today. Representatives from a local consortium working to save the Titans were invited to London to discuss the club's future with the RFU management board. Graeme Cattermole, Chairman of the RFU Management Board said today "We held a very positive and constructive meeting and members of the local consortium were very helpful in providing some of the additional information we required.

"We have agreed with them that further information needs to be made available and this will be forthcoming shortly. Once this is considered we will aim to make a decision in the early part of next week."

Allan McHale a representative of the local consortium said "The RFU were very open to the ideas that we put forward. Both the RFU and ourselves are very conscious of time issues and it is now imperative that we produce the extra information they need, which we aim to do over the next few days."

The meeting followed the submission of a three year business plan and a detailed budget to the RFU by the consortium.

Rotherham had initially hoped for a decision by the RFU management board on whether or not the rescue plan had been accepted today, but they now face an anxious wait over the next few days.
