Looking ahead to all this weekends National League One games, Stephen McCormack gives his predictions. McCormack, the RFU’s Statistician, has a decent track record with his predictions, hopefully that will continue this week as he’s gone for a Roth win.

PREDICTIONS FROM McCORMACK

NATIONAL ONE

Bedford v Moseley

Sixth placed Bedford Blues take on 14th placed Moseley looking to return to winning ways.

After another disappointing defeat the Blues have fell even further off the pace and are now nine points behind the side in fifth place in the table.

Moseley are now just three points clear of second bottom Sedgley Park and have already beaten the Blues this season.

Prediction: Bedford Blues to win by 15 points.

Doncaster v Sedgley Park

Fifth placed Doncaster entertain second bottom Sedgley Park looking to maintain their good recent form.

Doncaster continued their excellent season after a win last Sunday away at Newbury and are just four points off top spot.

Park are on a good run of form of late and are now within striking distance of escaping the relegation zone.

Prediction: Doncaster to win at home against by 14 points.

Exeter Chiefs v Pertemps Bees

Ninth placed Exeter Chiefs entertain seventh placed Pertemps Bees looking to maintain their recent good home form.

A win four the Chiefs would help them close the ten point advantage that the Bees have over them.

The Bees are just a point of sixth place now and will be keen to continue their good away form this season.

The Bees were comfortable winners when the sides met earlier in the season.

Prediction: Chiefs to win at home against the Bees by eight points.

London Welsh v Plymouth Albion

Second placed Plymouth Albion travel to 13th placed looking for the win to continue to keep the pressure on the leaders.

Albion have lost just twice all season and are just two points behind top spot in National One.

The Welsh are having a poor season and are yet to win at Old Deer Park this season.

Prediction: Albion to win by eight points.

Earth Titans v Coventry

Third placed Earth Titans take on eighth placed Coventry at Clifton Lane looking to maintain their challenge for the National One title.

The Titans are just two points off top spot and will be looking to keep the pressure on leaders Leeds Tykes.

Coventry sit comfortable in mid table but are eight points behind the Bees.

Prediction: Titans to win at Clifton Lane by 12 points.

Leeds Tykes v Newbury

Leaders Leeds Tykes take on 10th placed Newbury looking to consolidate after going top last Sunday for the first time this season.

Leeds are on a good run of form and are unbeaten at Headingley since the opening weekend of the season.

Newbury may well find this a game to far and have had a patchy start to the season without getting a run of consistency going.

Prediction:  Tykes to win at home against Newbury by 15 points.

Nottingham v Otley

11th placed Nottingham take on 12 placed Otley knowing a win for the Yorkshire side would see them leap frog them in the table.

Nottingham have not got a run going yet and have been inconsistent with some great results but also some poor ones along the way. They could move up a place in the table with a win here as Newbury have a tough match at Leeds Tykes.

The Yorkshire side have nearly all their form at home and have already beaten Nottingham this season at Cross Green.

Prediction: Nottingham to win by nine points at Meadow Lane.

Cornish Pirates v Waterloo

The Cornish Pirates are fourth in the table and will be looking to try and close that gap with a home win over bottom of the table Waterloo. The Lancashire side actually beat the Pirates earlier in the season at Blundellsands.

The Pirates have a good home record this season and have been scoring freely in nearly all their home matches.

Waterloo have just the one win on the road when they were winners at Exeter Chiefs a few weeks back.

Prediction: Cornish Pirates to win by 15 points.
