Royals to face Swansea in Carling Cup

Reading will face Swansea City in the first round of the Carling Cup at the Madejski Stadium on Tuesday 23rd August 2005. NO NEW SIGNINGS

CARLING CUP DRAW
Reading will entertain Swansea City at the Madejski Stadium in the first round of the Carling Cup. The game will take place on Tuesday 23rd August 2005 with an 8pm kick off time.

The Royals faced Swansea last season in the FA Cup narrowly beating the Welsh side 1:0 in a replay at the Vetch Field with Nicky Forster scoring in extra time. Since that game Swansea have won promotion to League 1 and have a new stadium, The White Rock Stadium.

If the score remains even at the end of the allocated ninety minutes, the game will go into extra time before penalties if necessarily to decide the winner.

Ticket information regarding the fixture will be released shortly by the club with Season Ticket holders having a chance to book their season ticket seat for the game for a limited time before being made available to the general public.
