Reading could be without crowd favourite, Graeme Murty who is currently struggling with illness. Though the former York City man is likely to shrug off any symptoms to play.

Glen Little is almost certain to make his first League start since joining Reading permanently. Whether Bobby Convey or Paul Brooker play could depend on whether or not the USA International Convey is fully fit.

Marcus Hahnemann reclaims his number one spot after seeing Jamie Ashdown depart to Portsmouth.

Mark McGhee certainly has plenty of problems ahead of tomorrow's opening fixture. Star striker Leon Knight is suspended for the opening three League games of the season after being sent off at Sheffield Wednesday last season.

Goalkeeper Ben Roberts who had a brief spell on loan at Reading looks to be out because of injury. That means Michel Kuipers is likely to deputise. 

Richard Carpenter is also out out due to injury and so is right back Ben Watson. Brighton do have a couple of new signings who are likely to feature tomorrow. Republic Of Congo Under 21 International, Maheta Molangop, Darren Currie and Alexis Nicolas. Nicolas is on a three month loan of Chelsea.
