Royals Scoop US Star Convey!

Reading have landed one of Americas most up and coming players, Bobby Convey from DC United. The player may make his debut against Manchester City subject to being granted a work permit.

Details of the deal remain undisclosed by sources suggest The Royals have splashed out £500,000 for the winger who nearly joined Tottenham a while back only to fail in his application for a work permit.

Although there will be no problem obtaining one this time around.

The USA International is primarily a left winger but can drop back into the left back position if necessary He has 26 caps for his county including one goal..

Convey is expected to make is debut for Reading in the friendly at the Madejski Stadium against Premiership, Manchester City.
