Royals line up Premiership friendly

Kevin Keegan's Manchester City will visit Reading for a pre season friendly on the 2nd August at the Madejski Stadium.City currently have a number of good players with Nicolas Anelka,Robbie Fowler,England goalkeeper David James and highly rated Shaun Wright Phillips likely to be on show.

Kevin Keegan's Manchester City will visit the Madejski Stadium on Monday 2nd August for a pre season friendly, kick off 20:00pm.

It will be the 2nd visit for City to the Madejski Stadium after playing the Royals in the 1998/1999 season when both clubs were in Division 2. City won 3-1 thanks to 2 goals from Terry Cooke.

It will also see Shaun Goater come up against his former club. The Goat became a fans favourite after hitting over 100 goals for City in 6 seasons at City's former ground Maine Road. Both clubs have agreed to donate a percentage of the gate receipts to Goater's Soccer School for children in Bermuda.

City have a number of well known players with England goalkeeper David James, France striker Nicolas Anelka, Robbie Fowler, Steve McManaman and Shaun Wright-Phillips all playing their trade with the club.

No ticket news are available yet but as soon as they are released, we'll let you no.
