Greame Murty has surprisingly been omitted from the Scotland squad by Manager Berti Vogts to face Euro 2004 opponents Denmark next week in Copenhagen.The full back has been in brilliant form over the season and despite being in the previous 2 squads,he doesn't feature next week.

Greame Murty has surprisingly been omitted from the Scotland squad by Manager Berti Vogts to face Euro 2004 opponents Denmark next week in Copenhagen.

The full back had been involved in the previous 2 squads against Wales and Romania. He made his International debut in the 4-0 defeat against Wales at the Millennium Stadium after coming on as a half time substitute. But he didn't feature in the 2-1 defeat to Romania at Hampden Park.

Manager Vogts instead called up 3 new players with Nigel Quashie of Portsmouth, and Norwich City duo Malky Mackay and Gary Holt also being rewarded for their excellent season with the Division 1  League leaders. He also recalled Leicester City striker Paul Dickov after missing the Romania game because of the rape allegations involving him and 2 other Leicester City players.

But defender Ivar Ingimarrson will be in the Iceland squad to face Latvia next week. Though he is suspended for the final 3 games of the league season for the Royals after a red card at Bradford City, the ban doesn't mean he can't play for Iceland.

England U18's goalie Jamie Young will miss the trip to Millwall this weekend because of a call up to the England squad. Kelvin Jack will be the backup goalie on this occasion with Marcus Hahnemann still not fit after a medial knee ligament injury. Shaun Goater is very unlikely to play for Bermuda in their friendly match against Barbados on the 2nd May because of the Reading Vs West Bromwich Albion clash the day before.
