Reading manager Steve Coppell has confirmed the club are to tour Sweden again as they look to prepare for the 2004/2005 season.The Royals were in Sweden last year as they took on some local opposition.The tour will start in the middle of July.
The Royals will start next season with a tour back again to Sweden Steve Coppell confirmed this evening. Reading will go back to Scandinavia and play 2 local sides as preparation for the new season.
Last year former Reading manager Alan Pardew took his players out their as they played Gavle on the 22nd July and Borlange on the 24th July.
The Royals beat Gavle 3-1 thanks to a double from Nathan Tyson, now at Wycombe Wanderers and Darius Henderson, now at Gillingham.
But Reading were held to a goalless draw with Borlange. But never less the tour proved very successful and will once again be backed by a few die-hard Royals supporters.
But the Royals won't be the only English club in Sweden. Alan Pardew's West Ham United have confirmed this week they are visiting Sweden again after like Reading going their last July to play local opposition.
