With the Royals scheduled to play Burnley yesterday,but the game being rearranged to the 24th February due to the Clarets FA Cup commitments,we look at how the rest of the Division 1 games went yesterday as well as a look at the teams from the Division who remain in this years FA Cup competition. Saturday 14th February

Norwich kept their cool as they won 2-0 at Highfield Road against Eric Black's Coventry City.Gary Holt scored his 1st goal since December 2001 as they went ahead just before half time.Then 5 minutes from full time Darren Huckerby crossed in for former Nottingham Forest full back Jim Brennan to score as the Cannaries bought all 3 points back to Norfolk.

West Brom left it late as they recorded a win over Cardiff in the 13:00pm kick off.Former Royal loanee Neil Clement gave the Albion the lead 55 minutes into the game.But substitue Alan Lee put the Bluebirds back into the game with 10 minutes left.But Lee Hughes restored the Baggies lead with a goal 5 mins later.Earlier in the week Hughes pleaded "not guilty" to death caused by dangerous driving and also to leaving a crime scene.An important win for Albion who were dealt a major blow with the news star goalkeeper Russel Hoult could be out for 9 months.

Nathan Ellington and Lee McCulloch scored the goals that earned Wigan a victory that kept them in touch at the top of Division One and helped put more misery on Derby County.Just before half time Ellington scored his 14th of the season and then McCulloch secured the 3 points after a good finish.

Ipswich Town hit back at the critics who had been doubting them by securing a 3-1 victory over Division 2 bound Bradford City.Former Sheffield Wednesday striker Shefki Kuqi put the Tractor Boys in front.But Bradford levelled thanks to their veteran striker Dean Windass.But goals from Darren Bent and Ian Westlake helped put the misery into Bryan Robson's Bradford.

Crystal Palace continued their brillant form with an amazing 6-3 victory over Stoke City.Andy Johnson put Palace ahead early in the game only for Stoke to equalise from John Eustace free kick.Palace were then awarded 2 penalties which Johnson converted to secure a first half hat trick.But Clive Clarke made it 3-2 before Michael Hughes scored again,all of this coming before half time.Neil Shipperley got the fifth before Crystal Palace fan and former Royals striker Carl Asaba converted a penalty only for Wayne Routlidge to score the 6th with an amazing finish.The result lives Iain Dowie's Palace up to 8th.

Preston North End faced the long journey home with 0 points after being beaten by Watford,a win which helps the Hornets as they avoid to stay in the Division.Hameur Bouazza scored on his full debut in the 1st half,and Paul Devlin finished off PNE with 10 minutes to go.

Joe Kinnear's debut as Nottingham Forest manager got off to an amazing start as they came back from 3-1 down to draw 3-3.On loan star Andy Impey gave Forest the lead 3 minutes into the game only for Jorge Leiteo to equalise.Jamie Lawrence got the 2nd and Gary Wales curled home the third.But former Gillingham striker Marlon King scored his 1st league goal to bring it back to 2-3 before Gareth Taylor scored in injury time to get Joe Kinnear his 1st point as Forest manager.

West Ham will do battle again with Chris Coleman's Fulham after a goaless draw at Loftus Road.Fulham were lucky to get a draw after Edwin van der Saar pulled off some quality saves from Marlon Harewood and David Connolly.

Millwall reached the quater finals with a 1-0 victory over Burnley.Danny Dichio scored the only goal with his 1st since joining from West Brom for £500,000.Burnley had Paul Weller sent off.Because Burnley were knocked out of the FA Cup,the new date for the Reading Vs Burnley game is now on the 24th February,Kick Off 20:00pm

Sunderland secured a draw after a Kevin Kyle header cancelled out Mikael Forsell's brillant 1st half goal.Forsell beat 3 players before cooly tucking away but Kyle got the Black Cats level with a header which beat Maik Taylor.

Neil Warnock's Sheffield United reached the FA Cup Quarter Finals Stage for the 2nd season in a row as they knocked out Royals legend Phil Parkinson's Colchester United.The only goal of the game came in the 61st minute when Paul Peschisolido's header was enough to see the Blades through to the last 8.
