Kitson set to sign from Cambridge

Dave Kitson is set to become Steve Coppell's third signing as Reading manager after Lloyd Owusu signed on loan earlier in the day from Sheffield Wednesday. A deal in the region of £250,000 has been agreed with Cambridge and now it is down to Kitson to agree personal terms with the Royals.

Kitson is highly regarded in the Nationwide league with an excellent goal ratio at the third Division outfit. The flame haired forward would defiantly please the Royals fans after they have been craving for some more attacking options with Forster struggling upfront on his own. If Kitson does agree personal terms it will be very unlikely that he will be registered in time to play against Wimbledon on Boxing Day

Shaun Goater may miss the clash with the Dons on the 26th after picking up an injury on the training ground. John Mackie has also picked up a knock but Graeme Murty should return for the Royals.
