Stoke renew there interest in Royals forward

Uncomfirmed reports say Stoke City want Martin Butler. Butler who failed to play for the majority of the games towards the end of the season, will fall further down the pecking order if Shaun Goater signs for the Royals. It is reported that Stoke City are on the verge of making a bid for Reading forward Martin Butler, the player who had a poor last season was hoping for a fresh start at the Royals. Butler would require fee but City manager, Tony Pulis is a big fan of the ex Cambridge United forward. Thoughts on the player are pretty mixed but many people have said that he deserve a chance to prove that he is good enough at this level.

Earlier in the month it was also said that Wycombe Wanderers wanted Butler on a season long loan.
