Blues try and sign Andy Johnson, away from the stuburn Crystal Palace and big headed Chairmen Simon Jordan, as there bid fails. :(

Birmingham City, who sold Andrew Johnson to Palace July 2002 for £750,000 as he was deemed sur-plus to requirements , Tried to sign him back as there bid £3m plus two unnamed players in a deal worth £6.5m in total fails,

Dowie said
"There is no chance of AJ [Andy Johnson] leaving during the window,".

"If we want to a Premiership return, we need to keep our best players here - and AJ is certainly one of those."
