Blues manager Steve Bruce has today confimed that the club are keeping an eye on Inter Milan striker Mohammed Kallon. The Seirra Leone international is currently on loan at French side Monaco but could be a January target for Bruce's men.

Birmingham City manager Steve Bruce as expressed an interest in Inter Milan striker Mohammed Kallon. Kallon is a Seirra Leone international who is currently on a loan deal at French side Monaco but has been linked with a move to the Midlands before.

Bruce told the Birmingham Evening Mail "We spoke about Kallon a couple of years ago, but unfortunately, he wasn't available from Inter but now he's gone to Monaco on loan."

"He's someone I admire but he's only been at Monaco six months so whether he's available just yet, who knows?"

The striker was believed to be a transfer target in the Summer of 2002 but just weeks after the transfer collapsed Kallon failed a drugs test which kept him out of action for a year as he served his suspension from the game.

Kallon has played 16 games for Monaco this season scoring 10 goals.
