Newcastle United manager Sir Boby Robson is apparently arranging a 5m swoop for Eidur Gujonsen which he will hope to make at the end of the season.

The Daily Express states that Sir Bobby Robson is now convinced that the Icelander IS the right man to fill Shearer's boots.

It is believed that a bid of £5M will be made for Gudjohnsen at the end of the season. The player would hopefully help Newcastle in the Champions League if they manage to maintain a spot this season.
