Rosicky To Sign For Chelsea!!
Czech international Tomas Rosicky
today claimed he has agreed personal terms for a proposed move to Chelsea. The
23-year-old says he is ready to leave Borussia Dortmund providing the two clubs
can agree on a fee.
Dortmund are in serious financial trouble and German
sources claim the club will accept a £10million offer for their star
midfielder.
Chelsea's interest in Rosicky is unconfirmed and in many
ways would be a surprise considering their interest in Scott Parker which should
resolve itself this week with the Charlton player moving to Stamford Bridge.
However, Rosicky claimed:
"I've known for eight or nine days of Chelsea's interest. It is now down to
the clubs to see whether it happens. But if I was them I would not refuse the
offer."
Sources close to Rosicky say the player has been told
that Chelsea want to sign him now because Juan Veron and Emmanuel Petit are
injured while Geremi is on international duty with Cameroon.
Dortmund are desperate for money having failed to make
this season's Champions League group stage - losing to Belgium's Club Brugge in
the third qualifying round.
Club president Gerd Niebaum said of the move: "We
don't have an offer from Chelsea and I don't talk about rumors."
Rosicky joined Dortmund from Sparta Prague for £10.2m
in 2000 and his contract does not expire until 2008. He will be a central figure
for the Czech Republic at Euro 2004.
The claims by Rosicky come the day after Chelsea's
Premiership title ambitions suffered another blow as they drew 0-0 with
Birmingham
