Dabizas Set For Leicester City!!!

Greece defender Nikos Dabizas is poised to join Leicester City from English premier league rivals Newcastle United.

"We have agreed personal terms," Leicester manager Micky Adams told the club's website on Thursday. "Nikos is an experienced international defender and his arrival will bring added competition to places in this area of the squad."

The 30-year-old Dabizas, who has 55 international caps, is set to undergo a medical and may complete his move in time to play in Saturday's FA Cup third-round tie against Manchester City.

He joined Newcastle in 1998 for 2 million pounds from Greek club Olympiakos, playing over 150 matches for the north-east club before falling out of favour with manager Bobby Robson last season.

Leicester lie 17th in the 20-team premier league standings as they struggle to retain their top-flight status after winning promotion from the first division this season.
