Reward In Pipeline For Coleman Hints Al Fayed

FULHAM chairman Mohamed Al Fayed has thrown heaps of praise on manager Chris Coleman and has hinted that he could reward his magnificent effort with a new contract. Coleman is currently on a one-year rolling contact and has silenced the critics who predicted Fulham for the drop by hauling the Cottagers into the top five.

Fulham, currently sitting proudly in 5th place in the Premiership could go one better than that by reaching fourth by the end of the season. This has been made more likely with the acquisition of Dutch midfielder Bobby Petta which we reported yesterday.

"I know Chris' primary aim is to ensure we maintain our Premiership status," Al Fayed said.

"Only then will it be appropriate to consider new targets and goals. However, I know the fans all share my faith in Chris and the players to achieve their full potential."
