Brindley seals Pitman win
Former Harrier Chris Brindley had an eventful day at Villa Park today as his team Hednesford Town lifted the FA Trophy for the 1st time. Kidder legend Brindley, who won the Trophy with Telford and was a runner up with Kidder scored at both ends as the Pitmen beat Canvey Island 3-2. In front of a small crowd of around 6000, Hednesford were 1-0 up at half time. Then Canvey Island stormed back to kead 2-1, with Brindley netting the 2nd as an OG. Then another former Kiddermen, Les Hines, levelled with a free kick. Then Brinders, who is also Hendnesfords Assistant Manager, won the Trophy with a brilliant volley in the 86th minute. Well done Chrissy boy!
