The lights were on tonite at Aggie but no one was at home as the "Old Farm Derby" ended in a dour goalless draw. This seemed a fair result in a game of little incident in front of a 3803 crowd who saw the debut of Dean Keates & the return of Ian Foster

Well at least we didn’t lose !

Harriers started with both new signings in the starting 11, With Ian Foster on the left hand side of a 3 pronged attack and Dean Keates making his debut in midfield. One surprise was the omission of Danny Williams from the starting line up, with Danny having to be content with a place on the bench. In a dour 1st half there were few clear cut chances. Craig Hinton went close with a couple of headers for Harriers and Brayson went close with a volley for Chelts.

The 2nd half followed a similar pattern really and perhaps I haven’t covered much of the game but there was little to mention really. Harriers sub Jesper Christiansen, on for Foster turned and shot from inside the area after Cheltenham failed to clear, and John Williams had a shot from outside the box but it went well wide. For Cheltenham, “Rashface”McCann went close with an impressive trade mark free kick which was well held by Brock. Forgive me again but that seemed about it for either side and a draw seemed a fair result. It looked towards the end that Cheltenham would be settling for that and you cant blame them. Also Harriers did fall away towards the end and to be honest, after such a game, I’m just glad we didn’t lose. Confidence is low at the moment.

So a point has moved us above Macclesfield for the moment and we now travel to Southend on Saturday in really a must win game. The 2 new players did ok, Keates got stuck in and was booked by the standard poor official, not that I can criticise him too much. Compared to the clown, impotent fool of Saturday, Kevin Wright, then he was acceptable. Ian Foster did show some reasonable touches without really impressing, but it’s a step in the right direction. One "terrace" rumour that was circulating tonight was rumours that Danny Williams is on the way out. Bad news really but if we were to get more creation in the middle then so be it. as much as I like Danny, and think he’s probably our best player, I just want success for Harriers. Success this season is survival, lets hope we can start to improve, because we need to.
