Harriers travel to the Kassam Stadium on Saturday,hoping for at least a game, following the midweek postponement of the Cheltenham game. Plus news of former Harriers and the new date for the Cheltenham game

Oxford v Harriers

Harriers travel to high flying Oxford on Saturday for a tough match against Ian Atkins’s side. Of course, Atkins’s style is not everyone’s cup of tea, but in division 3 it is effective and Harriers are in for a tough game. The U’s are near the top and will be looking to cement their promotion bid. Earlier in the season both teams shared the spoils at Aggboro. After Oxford took a late lead, Adam Willis equalised and then Bo Henriksen missed a late penalty. I suppose Harriers would settle for a draw at The Kassam on Saturday, make your predictions if you wish. As far as I’m aware, Harriers have no new injury problems going into the game. Adie Smith should return after missing the Bury game due to compassionate leave. The players that will be missing are Kenny Coleman, Adam Willis and Lee Jenkins, who are all out injured.

Sall to return ?

Former star defender Abu Sall has been training with Kidder this week. According to reports, Harriers are not about to re sign the Frenchman just yet. Apparently he is over in England visiting his brother, although Jan Molby has stated in the press that he wouldn’t totally rule out a move for the big man. I personally think Sall was a great player for us, although his departure was a little sour. Still if he does come back, then hopefully he would be a useful addition.

Cheltenham game re arranged

Following the 2nd postponement of the “Old Farm Derby “ last Tuesday, due to a power cut, Harriers have announced a new date. The game will go ahead (3rd time lucky ?) on Tuesday 10th February, with the usual 7.45pm kick off. The official site has indicated that admission details will be released soon, with regard to vouchers issued for the postponed game.

Jonah rejoins Wolves

Former Kidder keeper and Welsh number one, Paul Jones has rejoined Wolves from Southampton. Jones, who has been on loan at Liverpool, has signed a 2 year deal, with the Wolves paying the Saints a ¼ million

Shilts Leaves

According to the official site, Harriers have today parted company with winger, Sam Shilton. Harriers boss stated that winger/wing back Shilton would be best off in a 3-5-2 formation, which the Dane doesnt favour. Of course Sammy's best spell was last season under Ian Britton, playing in that formation, Shilton is expected to link up with Burton Albion. Meanwhile it is reported that former left back Ian Joy has joined Bundesliga side, HSV Hamburg. Yes, I think its the same Hamburg that Keegan played for. Well done Ian and good luck to Sammy.
