After an exhausting week, Harriers face Orient in Div 3 , this Saturday(13th Dec.) This game may attract an above average attendance,as the voucher scheme for the Wolves game kicks in.

So after all of the excitement, and subsequent debate, Kidderminster Harriers return to the rigours of Division Three on Saturday, with the visit of Leyton Orient. The O’s aren’t having the best of seasons, under current caretaker boss, Martin Ling, but are above Kidder in the table. 3 points are urgently required by Molby’s men, as we do sit just one point off the relegation zone. Whilst, we were winning at Woking in the FA Cup, Darlington moved above us.

Of course, this week has been dominated by news of the ticket arrangements for the Wolves FA Cup game, on January 3rd. I will shortly put on brief details plus link to official site regarding these details. My opinion is that the Club were stuck between a rock and a hard place making these decisions and I can assure you, from what I know, these decisions were not taken easily. In fact, without going into much detail, I did speak to a club official this week, and was reassured by his commitment to the Harriers fan who goes every week. Its not ideal, but short of going back in time, there is little Harriers can do. Many suggest that Harriers should switch the tie to Molineaux, but I’m sure we are all aware by now, they are not allowed to by the FA. Yes, it would have been easier if it was at Wolves, but then again, it might have been easier if we’d have drawn someone else. Maybe Blackburn, Middlesbrough or Charlton. We would have still probably filled Aggboro and the visiting support would have been happy with the allocation. The main problem with the Kidder/Wolves game is the close proximity between the clubs. If Harriers hadn’t introduced the system they had, then it would be very easy for Wolves fans to get into the Harriers areas.

anyway, enough of that for a bit. This week has also saw Harriers be linked with a move for Swansea’s Lee Jenkins. No transfer has yet took place, but Jan has confirmed his interest. One player who will be coming to Aggboro, in January though, is Danish hit man, Jesper Christensen. Jepser, will link up next week for training but cannot sign until the transfer window opens in January. The 6ft3” Dane will be eligible for the Wolves Cup tie. Former Derby midfielder, Adam Murray is still to decide on his future, with Harriers amongst many interested parties, that include Walsall and Notts County. Jan has certainly been busy, with another player, Scott Rikkards of Tamworth also attracting the Dane’s attention. The Lambs boss Darren Gee turning down a bid by Jan but Gee has since come back challenging Harriers to increase their bid.

So, anyone of the above transfer targets could be in the Kidder line up for Orient. With the ticket situation, we could get a bigger crowd, but with Kidder people, you never know.

Late News

Harriers have completed the signings of Scott Rickards and Lee Jenkins. Rickards joins from Tamworth, for an undisclosed fee and Jenkins joins from Swansea, where he played under Jan. Both players are in the squad for tomorrow and have signed 18 month contracts.
