Old Trafford prepares to honour Roy Keane on Tuesday evening as the Irishman returns to Old Trafford for his eagerly anticipated testimonial match. Keane's current employers Celtic, backed by some 25,000 travelling supporters, take on Manchester United in an exciting clash. Keane is expected to play 45 minutes for each team.

The game gives United fans the chance to thank and say good-bye to one of their greatest servants. Keane left Old Trafford under a cloud after criticising team-mates in a controversial MUTV interview which was never broadcast. The midfielder made almost 400 appearances for the Red Devils, and has been described by Sir Alex Ferguson as the "best player" he has ever worked with.

Unfortunately, much of the reporting leading up to the game was regarding Ruud Van Nistelrooy and not Keane. The Dutchman will play no part in the game following his much-publicised 'walk out' on the weekend, sparking speculation of his imminent exit from the club. Both teams are expected to name first-team line-ups as the stars of both teams prepare to pay tribute to the 34-year-old.

Keane's future as a professional player is in doubt. He has grown tired of commuting from his Manchester home to Parkhead and has told the press that he must decide whether to move north of the border or hang up his boots. If the festivities of Tuesday night prove to be Keano's last game before retirement, it will be a fitting end to a fabulous career.

The game is being broadcast free of charge on Setanta Sports 2, and also on MUTV.
