Chris Eagles and Mads Timm have both secured loan deals as the January transfer window opens, with Liam Miller extending his stay with rivals Leeds United. The trio are all desperate to get first-team football and try to impress Sir Alex Ferguson. New Page 4

The transfer window has been open less than a week, and already two United youngsters have headed out on loan whilst another has extended his stay away from the club.

Walsall have snapped up Mads Timm, Chris Eagles heads back to Watford whilst Liam Miller has extended a temporary spell with rivals Leeds United until the end of the current season.

The Danish striker is desperate to win back his reputation as a player with tremendous potential after being sent to a young offenders' institute for dangerous driving last year. Walsall boss Paul Merson is desperate for the 21-year-old to hit top form which could boost a mixed campaign thus far for the Saddlers.
"If he hits top form he will set us alight." said the Walsall boss, excited by his New Year swoop.
Timm has also spent time on loan with United Norwegian feeder club Viking Stavanger and is regarded by coaching staff at Old Trafford to be a player still with the ability and promise to break into the first-team.
 
Chris Eagles - Flys back to Watford
Eagles, who has eight United appearances under his belt, will be desperate to make an instant impact at Vicarage Road as he returns to the club where he spent a fairly pleasing three months last term before impressing with Sheffield Wednesday.
"Joining Watford feels absolutely right and I'm really pleased to be joining a team that is doing so well." said the Hemel Hempstead-born starlet.
Having just turned 20, the versatile winger is an established reserve team player at United who is desperate to find a way into Sir Alex Ferguson's plans.
 
Liam Miller - Behind Enemy Lines
Widely regarded as a Manchester United flop, Liam Miller has extended his loan spell with Leeds after failing to impress at Old Trafford since joining from Glasgow Celtic.
The midfielder made the move to Leeds in November after failing to put himself forward as a realistic successor to ex-captain Roy Keane. The Irishman, who did so well in the SPL, has adapted well to life in the Championship and had appeared in 10 games. He is eligible to play for Leeds against Wigan in the FA Cup on Saturday, and will hope to help our rivals to promotion back to the top flight.
