Cristiano Ronaldo, reportedly furious at his arrest for alleged rape, has been released on police bail. The 20-year-old's agent has categorically denied any allegations against the winger whilst Ronaldo himself is said to be describing the ordeal as a “stitch up”. Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent has hit out at allegations that his player is guilty of rape after the Manchester United winger was arrested and questioned in a Police Station near his Cheshire home.

As ManUtdWeb reported, Ronaldo was arrested after a pre-arranged meeting with Scotland Yard on Wednesday. The allegation of rape links to an incident between an unknown woman and Ronaldo in a London hotel following Manchester United’s win over Fulham in early October.

“All accusations against Cristiano are simply an act of fantasy.” said Jorge Mendes, with the press fuelling the story with back-page headlines about 20-year-old star.

Mendes added that the claims were "totally and categorically repudiated" and that "investigations will demonstrate, these charges are not based on any credible facts".

The Portuguese international has been released on police bail but investigations are ongoing. He is reported to be furious at the claims and has told close friends that he has been victim of a “stitch up”.
