Sbragia Set to Join Bolton

Manchester Untied are likely to lose the services of reserve team coach Ricky Sbragia to Bolton Wanderers as the Trotters look to recruit back-room staff. Ruud van Nistelrooy has reiterated his intentions to stay at Old Trafford despite tempting links to La Liga giants Barcelona and Real


Sir Alex Ferguson has persuaded Sbragia to leave Sunderland in 2002 in order to take over second-string affairs but is looking for a more active role in first-team football.

Bolton lost several first-team coaches over the summer which left Sam Allardyce with a lack of assistance on the training ground and in the dug-out.

Allardyce already recruited Sammy Lee but is desperate to bring in Sbragia, who's helped the progress of several current first-team Red Devils including Darren Fletcher, Kieran Richardson and John O'Shea. 

Brian McClair is favourite to replace Sbragia as reserve coach should he leave for the Reebok Stadium.
