La Liga giants Celta Vigo have approached Sir Alex Ferguson with a bid to sign out-of-favour midfielder Kleberson. The South American has failed to make any sort of impact in the Premiership since his £6million move from Atletico Paranaense. New Page 2

Sir Alex Ferguson is considering a bid from Celta Vigo for out-of-favour midfielder Kleberson. The Spanish outfit are desperate to sign the Brazilian and United could be set to cut their losses on the 2002 World Cup winner.

"We've had an offer from Celta Vigo," said United boss Sir Alex Ferguson. "I think chief executive David Gill is talking to them but that's all I know at the moment." added the Scotsman.

United raised a few eyebrows when they splashed out on Kleberson two seasons ago, paying Atletico Paranaense a whopping £5.5million. A series of niggling injuries have restricted the 26-year-old's opportunities and many supporters feel the versatile midfielder is simply not good enough to make the grade in the Premiership.

Having made 30 appearances for United, it really does look like the first Brazilian to pull on United's red jersey is simply not good enough. Celta manager Miguel Ángel Lotina is thought to be very interested in acquiring the player's services and it is starting to look likely that supporters will be waving goodbye to the South American who failed to make an impact at Old Trafford.
