Agent: Foster Set for United Switch

Stoke City and Manchester United have agreed a fee which will send goalkeeper Ben Foster to Old Trafford from the Britannia Stadium, according to the player's agent Lee Payne. Stoke's director of football John Rudge earlier this week confirmed Sir Alex Ferguson is interested in making the 22-year-old a Red Devil following notable performances on loan at Wrexham.

Now Payne has confirmed his client is set to move to Lancashire. "Ben is delighted that a deal has been agreed," he said. "He will now look forward to talking to United.

"It is a dream come true and he cannot wait to meet with Sir Alex."

Whether the third-choice Potters goalkeeper will see regular first-team action is a doubt however as United already have the services of Edwin van der Sar, Tim Howard and young Luke Steele at their disposal.
