United to Face Japanese Outfits

United have confirmed that they will be facing two Japanese opponents on their tour of Asia this summer, the Kashima Antlers on July 28th and Urawa Reds two days later. The Red Devils will also take part in Barry Fry's testimonial fixture. Hobbs in Trouble

United to Face Japanese Outfits

Manchester United have confirmed that they will be facing two Japanese opponents on their tour of Asia this summer, the Kashima Antlers on July 28th and Urawa Reds two days later.

Before the trip East the Red Devils will play against Peterborough in Barry Fry's testimonial on July 19th to commemorate Fry's 31 years in football management.

Sir Alex Ferguson previously stated he'd field a strong side for the testimonial as the Red Devils start to prepare for the 2005/2006 term.

Soon after, United make the trip to the Tokyo's National Stadium and then Urawa Reds' Saitama Stadium.

Japanese side Urawa Reds were scheduled to take on United last season at Old Trafford in a Vodafone Tournament fixture but was cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.

United promised the Diamonds to re-schedule the fixture to this summer at their stadium in Japan.
